It was a family affair in the morning, with my amazing sisters making the Bride and Bridesmaids look their absolute best. Jessica is a make up artist (trained at the Make Up Designory in New York) check out her work on her website, www.jessicabuschini.com , and Harriet is a Toni & Guy Academy trained hair stylist working freelance for weddings and events, you can contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org
Flower Design ( www.flowerdesign.co.uk ) did an exquisite job with the flowers, they were absolutely stunning. More details on their side of the event can be found on their blog http://www.flowerdesignstannes.blogspot.com/ Jane and the team really do a fantastic job, and made the flowers so personal to the bride and groom, in Amy's bouquet, for example, there was a single maple leaf, to represent Pete's Canadian heritage, it's touches like these that make Flower Design's work so special.
The reception was held at The Grand Hotel www.the-grand.co.uk and was spectacular! Paul Guard ( www.paulguard.com ) entertained the guests as they arrived and enjoyed cocktails and kept the celebratory atmosphere going whilst all the guests enjoyed the fabulous Wedding Breakfast, it was a total treat and really got everyone relaxed and ready to party!
After the Wedding Breakfast and there were very touching speaches, not only by the Father of the Bride, Groom and Best Man, but also from Jake and Minka (the Groom's parents) and Hannah (chief Bridesmaid and Brides twin sister), I don't think there was a dry eye in the room. I then stole the Bride and Groom for a while for some portraits. We went across the road to the Rock Gardens, which were a beautiful backdrop for the beautiful Mr and Mrs Vriend.
The Evening reception kicked off with the first dance to Lucky by Jason Mraz and then every one joined in as family friend Dave Scrivner played music to keep the dancefloor full all night long!
I set up a photo booth for the guests at the evening reception, it's so much fun, and the guests really enjoy getting involved (especially when they have had a few drinks). The pictures are also great to send to guests inside their thank you cards.
It really was a wonderful day, there was so much love for Amy and Pete and it was an absolute pleasure to photograph. I wish them both every happiness for all their future adventures together, and the best of luck in their new jobs and new life teaching in Japan. Love you guys!
